Article 13: general applicant must have permanently resided in Armenia for the last 3 years as prescribed by law.
Applicant must be able to express himself/herself in Armenian and know the Constitution.
Simplified exceptions exist, including Armenian origin and specified family connections.
Current MCS citizenship applications are moving to/effected through the Electronic Citizenship Case Management System; state-duty rules were increased from September 2025.
